Coach
Phil Lang
Signing on to coach the Bears for the next three seasons, Phil brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience both as a player and a coach. Playing a number of seasons of top level cricket in Melbourne with stints at Geelong clubs South Barwon, St Peters and most recently St. Albans/Breakwater.
A distinguished wicket-keeper claiming over 300 dismissals with the gloves. Phil is also a dominant batsman, amassing over 8000 runs, with a career average in the 30's.

Phil is looking forward to mentoring our young playing group, focusing on the batsman maintaining their wicket and increasing their average.

Assistant Coach
Simon Craggs

With previous coaching stints at Waurn Ponds and Inverleigh, Simon is looking forward to honing his coaching skills at Marshall Cricket Club.
​
Simon a medium-fast bowler will focus on helping and mentoring our young crop of bowlers. Simons best bowling figures of 10/23 against Modewarre were wearing the Marshall colours.
​
Simon spent 6 years at Marshall before returning to his home club of Inverleigh. There he played his 200th game and helped guide Inverleigh to their first A grade Premiership in 47 years.
​
With many individual and team awards to his name, we welcome Simon back to the Bear Cave.
​


Assistant Coach
Mike Norris
Mike brings with him a wealth of experience, playing 1st XI cricket for St Albans the past three seasons where he made 845 runs, including a ton and 5 fifties. Mike also bowled and took a handy 24 wickets during this time.
​
Mike will add further strength to our batting line-up and with prior coaching experience at both St Albans and Guild St Marys, he will join our newly formed coaching team. Mike alongside Simon and Jack will assist Phil, adding another layer of support, experience and knowledge to help guide our young group on and off the field.

Assistant Coach
Jack Cain

Jack joins us from Leopold having been a mainstay in their 1st XI side, compiling 200 runs last season.
​
Looking for further opportunities and the chance to take on an assistant coaching role alongside Simon and Mike, supporting our head coach Phil, he will be a welcome addition to our club.
​
He joins us at a great time as we continue to develop and will play a key role in shaping our 24/25 season.
​
Welcome aboard Jack, we look forward to seeing you make some runs on Lawn Addicts Oval in the navy and gold!
